Top 12!

Coming into this, I am more than willing to call this the worst Top 12 ever. Could they all (or any of them) turn it around this week and make me eat my words? No such luck. It’s not so much bad now as it is just boring. I watch a two-hour episode, and at the end, I have no idea who sang what. No one stands out. They seem to think Mike and Siobhan stand out. Mike bores me and I hate his falsetto. Siobhan sounded like she was being murdered on stage. And then, in the last spot (reserved for the favorite), Crystal came out making excuses for her mediocre performance. Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike Crystal?

And then there were the bad people – Lacey, Tim, and Andrew. I really think it’s time for Andrew to go home.

Interestingly, Paige wasn’t awful. She was actually pretty decent. Better than the above 3. Although I was tired of listening to her problems. I don’t think every judge needs to talk about her vocal problems throughout the week.

As for Aaron, Casey and Katie…they got fairly nice comments, but I didn’t like them very much. Again, I found them boring and forgettable.

Even the people I liked – Didi and Lee – I don’t remember what they sang. And although I’d like to download them, because I haven’t downloaded anything this year, I know for a fact I won’t be listening to either performance a year from now. I wasted a lot of money last year on performances that I listened to once or twice before getting tired of them. They just don’t make them like they used to. I still listen to stuff from Season 2, 4, and 6. Sigh.

Overall? The episodes seem to be getting slightly more bearable each week. But it’s still not at the point where I’d call it good. Or even okay. It’s still bad. Just maybe not awful and unwatchable. As I said, I liked Lee and Didi. That’s it.

My predictions? Well, conveniently, three people stood out as the worst. Lacey, Andrew, and Tim. Of that group, I would say Lacey should go at this point. But…as we have all learned this season, it’s never what you expect. So I’ll give a backup prediction of Siobhan, Crystal, and Mike with Crystal going home. :) It’ll probably be somewhere in between. There’s a reason I don’t play my own game.

I might watch the results show tomorrow night. But probably not. That would involve staying up until 10:00 again, and that doesn’t seem like a good idea. But votes are due in by 9 tomorrow, not 8, since the results show starts at 9.

Until then…
